So I need some help understanding the current mechanics of Runescape, I will honest to God get everything a youtuber has gear wise to the T and still struggle as if I was a level 3 noob, which leads me to believe that there is something off, I had full Cryptbloom, Fsoa, Animate basically best in slot everything yet I couldn't finish Zuk normal mode challenges due to no G-Chain but others were able to easily complete it, makes no sense to me, when I did Kerapac I would get shredded solo and struggle duo/trio severely.

What I'm trying to say is that even before pre-nerf of these items I was still struggling worse than 90% of the player base, even using defensives it makes no difference, it's even worse now post patch, what the hell am I suppose to do?

this is rather simple

practice

thats all it is

read what abilities do. read why pairing some abilities is better than not etc. theres a lot out there to help


just because you are good at one boss doesnt mean you will be at another. rax when it came out took me 3 attempts and i understood it easily. telos on the other hand took me looooads before i got a kill. others say telos is easier than araxxi (i dont know how they think that)

all it is is practice. you dont do it first go. doesnt mean something wrong, it means you need practice. which is same for everything.

the youtubers you watch. was that there first attempt? there 2nd? no they have done it loads and understand the boss a lot. you are learning it thts why you are watching that video.

and this is probably even better advice than what i just said

dont compare yourself to others. thats just a nightmare of an abyss you dont want to go into.

I'm not comparing myself to others but the fact that I have exactly what they are wearing and follow their instructions to a T means to me that something is off, I take like 50% more damage than they do in Ganodermic how the F is that even possible? I can beat Zuk easily, but the challenges are the ones that get me, people can do it without G-chain and I can't even do it with G-chain so explain to me how in the hell that makes any iota of sense? It doesn't there's no logical explanation behind it and that was pre-nerf, I haven't even thought of attempting it post-nerf, ah well, rip to bossing once again.

No it was pre-nerf I haven't attempted anything post-nerf I sucked pre-nerf imagine me now lol I sold all my gear then too before it crashed so now I'm just money making with necro until I can afford to go back into bossing.

Everyone of us is supposed to be a "level 3 noob" when we start Necromancy.

Necromancy is a new skill, of course we start as a noob. If we started Necromancy from killing Zuk, it would be a failed new skill or at best a minigame pretending to be a new skill while just rehashing the old stuff again.

Necromancy is great as the 4th ever combat style because it is meant to be a bland new combat style, not a replacement of Melee/Ranged/Magic all Runescape franchise game players have been bored with the past 22 years. Necromancy is not designed to be a powercreep which render Melee/Ranged/Magic useless. Necromancy will be great for some pvm features, but not all of them.

this thread has nothing to do with necromancy.

op even said this. "no it was pre nerf" the nerf happened on necromancy release.

It seems to me OP is talking about the post Necromancy patch. If he is not specifically talking about THAT particularly necromancy patch, then please read on for my next post.

If your post is about the "nerf" of some items like Animate Death and FSOA, then you are absolutely not getting the entire picture.

Those "nerfs" have been balanced with buffs on some abilities like GSONIC. Many more active RS3 players like TheRSGuys have actually found the overall changes actually resulted in 510k DPM over the 500k DPM pre-change.
It is actually an overall buff
in DPM for over 90% of the players because we enjoy the lesser reliance on randomess.

"Overall:
- You lose a lot of AoE damage and healing potential
- From a damage standpoint the majority of players will be able to deal more for the same effort
- The new FSOA is way less RnG and far more consistent, which I liked
- ABS IS GONE
- It's slightly weird to have a t95 weapon that it's best to spec with and then instantly unequip so you can spam gconc"
