I want to focus on this for a minute, because this is a perfect case of something you SHOULD report. It's a 'method' found in a video.
I can't report anything because I have nothing to report. OP is the one with the information and the method, and what they are actually doing with the free spells.
I can only speculate because I play the game how it is presented to me. No matter how small an advantage it may be, if someone is intentionally using a bug to advance their character they can be punished for it. If you make a career out if it, you can probably expect to hear about it.
If there is a method to do it , and you feel any need to question it, the expected behavior IS to file a bug report. And to stop doing it if you can avoid it.
Definitely not to explain the details, which is why nobody is asking for any.
