I see people getting free animate deads without needing to spend runes, is this intended? The spell isn't too particularly expensive, but surely jagex wants players to actually use sink their runes every time they cast animate dead right? This method has no cooldown and pretty much everyone does it. Is this a bug or a intended feature? Inb4 report this YOU report this if you're against it.

Do they have a Grasping Rune Pouch equipped? That gives 25% chance of combat spells being free. Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

I tried this out with the grasping rune pouch. It seems to be working normal for me. Runes are used and sometimes it is free.

There is a cooldown, like 20-30 seconds. If everyone is doing THAT it must be pretty boring, with not much to gain from it.

Could just go AFK any random monster and save runes if they are doing it for XP.

As mentioned already, if you think it's a bug send in a bug report... and don't "try it out" just in case.

Just to be clear, my version of 'try it out' is to stand at the bank and cast the spell while watching my rune supply.

The first thing I noticed is the cooldown, which OP said there was none. I was testing the normal function of the spell and it seemed to be working normally.

If there are extra steps involved that shows some level of intent when using it.

I want to focus on this for a minute, because this is a perfect case of something you SHOULD report. It's a 'method' found in a video.

I can't report anything because I have nothing to report. OP is the one with the information and the method, and what they are actually doing with the free spells.

I can only speculate because I play the game how it is presented to me. No matter how small an advantage it may be, if someone is intentionally using a bug to advance their character they can be punished for it. If you make a career out if it, you can probably expect to hear about it.

If there is a method to do it , and you feel any need to question it, the expected behavior IS to file a bug report. And to stop doing it if you can avoid it.

Definitely not to explain the details, which is why nobody is asking for any.

I'm exaggerating and generalizing there. The point is, if there is some questionable method and you need to do something specific to use it, that might be held against you if you continue to do it.
