Story short: I've been lured into an elaborate PK scam. I'm an on and off player, so there are large gaps in between since I last played regularly. The game has changed a lot too. Lost valuable items worth $$$$$

What could I do besides reporting this person? How likely are they going to be punished/ban?

I know it's very likely I won't be seeing my items again to which I'm absolutely crushed . This might be my last time here for a while until nostalgia hits again. And right now.. I just want some justice done to clean up the game a bit.

nothing else you can do except report them in game. hopefully you have already done that

Keep them on ignore and login to osrs with the toggle that removes banned or muted players from your ignore list periodically. I've had some players on ignore that tried to scam me and a few months later, they were removed from my ignore when I logged into osrs and back to rs3 meaning they either got banned or muted. So scammers do eventually get punished.
