Am i right in thinking that if i convert all my shards to GP and keep the lot in my money pouch, then accidentally click the 'empty money pouch into bank' icon, then i will lose everything over 2.1b?

The worry is that that particular icon is next to the 'empty BOB' which i use often

No. If you deposit more than 2.1B coins, they will be divided into multiple stacks.

technically no you wont get more than 1 stack

youll just get 1 stack in your inventory. and rest stays in money pouch

Like the other users mentioned, no risk in emptying your gp into your bank. On the other hand, if you leave gp in your bank, you risk the chance of dropping them accidentally. So it is always safer to leave gp in your coin pouch.

Exactly! Coin pouch is for coins. Bank is for pineapples. Never uses treasure hunter keys. Never buys runecoins or bonds. Never pays extra for 'Premier' status or passes. Never will.
