There are fixture holiday/seasonal events like Halloween and Christmas.

There are also semi-regular events like DXP (once every 3 months) and Yak Tracks. Next DXP probably will come a few weeks later in August. We may have a new Yak Track soon accordingly.

There are always random or on demand events like Parcels from the Dead and Golden Cape Hunt that come exclusively at Jagex's discretion, no specific events or dates are announced usually more than a week or two before they come.

There can also be very special events. Who knows? With Necromancy emerging soon, we may have a surprising new Necromancy themed event soon too.

The next event is Golden Cape Hunt again, for another week:

"The Golden Cape Hunt will return this Friday for one weekend only!

Due to a bug preventing Shards from being collected for a short time, we wanted to give back to players who may have had their Hunt impacted.

Finish the Hunt June 30 at ~10:15 until July 2 at 23:59 (Game Time)"

We always have plenty of events for different kinds of players to choose from.

Even if players start from scratch comes June 30, with normal RNG, they should be able to get a Golden Cape in a week.
