After many forum rants and hours wasted in Daemonheim trying to find a Collection of Swords that I've already found years ago, I'd like to make this Public Service Announcement to make sure people don't make the same mistake I did.
Speak to Skaldrun. When I say speak, I don't mean right click and view Sagas to see the empty slots. These empty slots are not confirmation that you have not found the swords yet. This is where I went wrong.
Left-click Skaldrun and go through EVERY SINGLE chat option, and if you've found any of the items, this is when it will be confirmed to you, as you see each Saga become unlocked after each chat dialogue.
It is NOT ENOUGH to simply find the items and then right-click "Sagas" on Skaldrun.
Personally I think Jagex should fix this to save a lot of people's time.
People who have found the items years ago, forgot, and then assumed they have not found the items because even when they right click "Sagas" on Skaldrun with the items found, the corresponding sagas still appear locked by default.
This is a clunky feature, Jagex, and people's time will be wasted indefinitely for as long as this isn't fixed.
Make it so finding the items automatically makes the Sagas visible when right-clicking Skaldrun. Or at the very least, let the Quest Diary indicate if the items have been found or not, under the quest prerequisites.
