Is clan creation broken rn?

Friends and I attempted to make a clan like night but it seems like it's not working. We made sure to follow the steps on the wiki. First there were issues with inviting people to the charter and constant remaking it and then when we tried making it nothing happened after hitting save on the clan name. One time we managed to get past the name creation and then the person registered the clan but nothing actually happened. Is there something we are missing or is this a bug?

I'm not aware of any bugs affecting clan creation. One cropped up last year, but that was patched within a few weeks.

I don't think you're missing anything here. It sounds like you have followed the steps correctly, but have you verified that you're all in the new clan? You should have access to a new chat and dedicated resources.

It's worth notuing that you have to be clanless in order to register or join a new clan. If the players that were invited were already in a clan, the recruitment process would have failed. Check and confirm that the five founders are clanless, and that they have all signed the charter used on them by the furture owner.

Hello, clan creation is actually still bugged for me as well.

I followed all the steps correctly but when I clicked on the button after typing in the name to register the clan, nothing happens. It doesn't work on my phone either. I spam click the button but it never registers and the clan is never created.

Hey LiL Sansa,

The original post was about a bug which did not allow you to create a clan at all no matter what name you use.

In regards to your issue, there are some clans which do not show up on the highscores when searched so this may give your the impression the clan name is available. Currently there is only one workaround to find out if a clan exists, search a clan using this link

http://services.runescape.com/m=clan-hiscores/a=13/members.ws?clanName=

After the = add the clan name, if the clan name has spaces add a +. For example if the clan name is hello there you would type Hello+There so the link would be

http://services.runescape.com/m=clan-hiscores/a=13/members.ws?clanName=Hello+There

I know what the original post is about and I have the same problem. The clan will not be created no matter what name I put in. I tried different variations and made sure the clan names were not taken by attempting to join the clanchat as a guest and it would say the clan does not exist. Still, the clan will not register....

Like, Idk what suggested to you that I had a different problem than OP or that I didn't know how to check if a clan existed. Clan creation is still bugged, at the very least for me and my main account.

May I ask what clan names you have tried?

The link I asked you to try is not a known way of checking clan names as that link in specific will show clan names which will not show up when searching by going into clans on the website. Using the website feature uses this link to find clans https://secure.runescape.com/m=clan-home/a=13/clan/

In regards to what suggested it would be different - When you posted your issue over 40 clans have been created, so I wanted to be sure.
