Inactive Clan Names? Thread is locked

I've been wanting a certain name for my clan for a long time now but it's being held by an inactive clan of 2 people, both with unrealistic rs names and 1m clan XP total.

As far as I can tell, neither have played in at least a year and their names make me think they were cleared for other people to take a few years back so I was curious if, at some point, clan names are cleared too?

This has been a popular topic for a few years, but it's unfortunately not something that's going to happen any time soon. :(

Unlike how player characters have a system set up to automatically remove names from inactive accounts to free them up for use, Clans have no such system. In order for names to be freed from inactive clans, it would need to be done manually, or a system would need to be set up in order to allow for inactive clans to be purged or just have their names purged.

That being said, in the meantime, anyone looking to name their clans need to find a unique name that has not already been taken. ~ Sicariu
