can anyone give me some advice on the best way to recruit for a new clan we just started and we have the citadel i am just trying to figure out best way to recruit

If you scroll down the list of forums, you'll find a group of forums specifically for recruiting clan members. Each forum caters for different types of clan (combat focussed/social/etc.).

If you have a look at the recruitment threads there, you'll see the different approaches the clan leaders take to recruitment, which should give you some ideas for the most appropriate way to recruit for your clan.

Not sure what's best but, here are some ideas:
- Plant the clan vex near lodestones (Priff, Edgeville, ...)
- Make a thread about your clan on the forum
- Talk to players, PvM with players, ... and ask if they're interested. Hello Moto

Thread moved to the Clan Central Forum, as this is the forum for getting help and advice about clans.

Choose the Recruitment Forum that best fits your clan and post a recruitment thread there, with information about your clan. (Use some creativity here so that your thread doesn't look just like all the others in the Forum.)

Recruitment Forums based on minimum combat level required to join:
Recruitment – Under 100 Combat
Recruitment – 100 Combat and over

As well as those with requirements or focus on other than combat:
Recruitment - Skilling Clans (For clans with a skill total level requirement or focus on skills)
Recruitment - Questing & Minigame Clans (specializing in quests &/or mini-games)
Recruitment – Specialist Clans (Other specialized requirements or focus, such as language, location or activities)
Recruitment - Social & Community Clans (no entry requirements)

You can also look at the threads in the Recruitment – Looking for a clan Forum and invite those players who you think would be a good fit for your clan to check out your recruitment thread or contact you in-game. Don't go overboard on this though. A slow but steady growth makes it easier for your current members to welcome and adjust to newcomers.

It is also be helpful to make sure that you have good, up-to-date information about your clan on your official RS Clan Page (reached through Main Menu > Community > Clans)

Other good ways to recruit are to have 'invite a friend' events with your clan, encouraging your members to bring a friend along to a fun event.

If you do a skilling & social event, like fishing or agility, make sure you plant a clan vex nearby so that other players will realize that all those people having fun chatting while skilling are in a clan.
