Hello,

So I was looking more into available clan names and had a few in my mind that I would've liked.. I searched them previously from Runescape clans homepage, to check if they are taken or not and they weren't listed there. Then tried to change my clans name and it said it's already taken... Joined the CC as a guest and it was indeed an existing clan.

Is Jagex going to make some more clan names available soon? It's getting really complicated to choose a nice, simple and original name if so many "dead" clans are reserving them.

This was discussed in the past, but it's not a priority, so I highly doubt that it would happen any time soon.

EDIT: Just wanted to add, clan names should be something unique that has meaning to it and reflects well upon your clan. I'm sure you'll find something that's free :) ~ Sicariu

Clans with less than 5 members don't show up on the clan search as far as I'm aware, so trying to join the clan chat ( or change the name to it ) as you have done, is the only way to check for sure that a name is taken or not.
