Hey guys,

I been wanting to move my buildtick forever but im not to sure what it does with upgrades and plot builds..

Do the upgrades go threw when the tick is moved?
Do the plots finish building when the tick is moved? So yes , when ? On old reset point or right after u clicked to move the buildtick?

Basically , my question is when the buildtick is moved do you lose a week of upgrades/builds?

Hi,

Essentially, moving a Citadel's Build Tick forces the tick to occur at the moment you choose to move it rather than waiting for the full (one week) Build Cycle to complete. Any resources gathered towards upkeep/upgrades will be applied the same as during a normal Build Tick, so nothing is lost unless your clan hasn't gathered enough resources for upkeep/upgrades before moving it.

If you have upgrades set to build that are at 100% completion, moving the Build Tick will start the next Build Cycle, and the completed upgrades will be built. Nothing is lost when a Build Tick is moved, but be sure upkeep is met before doing so.

Keep in mind that moving the Build Tick will change your Citadel's weekly reset to the exact time you choose to move the tick, so it will next reset exactly 7 days from the time the tick is moved.

I am confused as to exactly what moving the build tick does, I did it to our citadel, expecting all to happen as was written above... we have enough resources to make upgrades occur. Nothing happened aside from the build tick time moving, everyone's clan fealty reduced by 1 star, and everyones cap reset... we still have all the resources we collected, no upgrades which were marked, actually upgraded. It seems like all that its good for is moving the time itself, none of the other stuff that is advertised happening, happens... Is this a bug, or did something change recently?

Any upgrades happen when you go through the build tick, by moving it you don't do this. Everything you had marked to upgrade will happen when you do tick.

Essentially there are 2 main reasons for moving it -

1 - as you said, to change the time to something more convenient , when someone might be around to set targets etc, or have a clan capping party etc

2 - to give you more time to hit the resource targets.

It isn't something you should need to do often, in my clan now over 6 years old, we have moved the build tick twice. Both times to a more convenient time ( we now tick on a Saturday evening so that we can cap twice on dxp weekends ).

My reply on this thread was directed at the OP's questions regarding upgrades, so your concerns weren't addressed in my post.

When you move the Build Tick, you are forcing the Citadel to reset at the instant you choose to move it. Any clan member who capped prior to moving it will be able to cap again. Any clan member who did not cap before the tick was moved will lose a fealty star if they had 1 or more before the move.

I'd recommend checking out the info about moving Build Ticks in the Clan Help v2 thread.

Essentially, the only purpose for moving the Build Tick is to change your Citadel's weekly reset day and/or time. ~ Sicariu
