I hope this was not too unorthodox, and I expect the thread to be locked shortly after being addressed. Allow me to explain my concern for a moment;


I am unsure of where I should post something, and it is not because there isn't an accurately defined forum that relates to my topic. My problem is there are actually more than one that I could post in. Are we allowed to have one or more of the same post, in different forums, if we do it appropriately ?

I wanted to promote a clan that offers free skilling services, unique & fun events, and other benefits to player's who are trying to level up their skills, enjoy the game with others, win rewards and achieve their goals. At the moment, I am currently establishing this clan and soon I will be informing players about it. I do NOT want to, or have any intention of spamming. I figured I could post on a timely basis to prevent 'spamming' , since I honestly have no idea how to remove posts at all.

I just have a great idea that I strongly believe could help a lot of players, and posting it in the right forum where players will actually be likely to read it is very important to me. So, I had hoped if I had done this appropriately, I could spread the word a little better.

As a general rule, we should not be seeing duplicate threads regardless of where they are posted. If you feel that there is more than one forum in which you can post your thread in, you may choose one that best fits. I can see that the thread is one example. In the end I've moved this to Clan Central since there is some focus on clan threads.

In the case of clans, you are allowed to have one discussion thread in Clan Home (used for clan discussion only, e.g. clan information, updates) and one recruitment thread within one of the few recruitment forums depending on clan requirements (used for recruitment only). That means two threads with similar content, but different purposes.

Hope this answers your questions though. I'm not in the best state atm.

The answer to this question is no. You're only allowed to have one thread per topic, per clan, or per group. You can't have more than one open thread to advertise the same thing.

For example, a clan that classifies itself as a Social/Community clan that also has a clan requirement of a 100+ Combat Level can only advertise itself in the 100+ Combat - Recruitment section. This is because the clan has a combat level requirement. A second thread advertising this clan would be locked as a duplicate because clans are not permitted to have multiple threads open at the same time.

The best thing to do is look over the forum sections you're considering posting in to make sure your thread would be a good fit. Then create the thread in the most appropriate one, and maintain it. Clicking the "bump" button or posting on the thread will bring the thread back to the first slot on Page 1 of the section to keep it relevant. This way, other players will be able to find it. There is no need to create a new thread every time you want to advertise.

EDIT: The post above mine included something I missed. The Clan Home section can be used for clans' discussion threads, so a clan can have a discussion thread in Clan Home and a recruitment thread in one of the recruitment sections. In that case, more than one thread is allowed for a clan. However, clans are limited to only one recruitment thread. ~ Sicariu

@Holygod5; That really sucks man. Submit for an appeal and definitely ^follow above mentioned instructions by Mod Aethel Wolf.
Personally, if you do get your account back, I suggest you do use the authenticator and a strong password. Try to get something that will also protect your computer better. Make sure anything linked to your account such as your e-mail or Facebook is truly secured by you, and you alone . Good luck!
