Hey all!

I just started a clan with a few friends and i want to expand and get a bit discord going and just enjoy the clan life a little more, but i have run into an issue where no one wants to join

can anyone help me out with some tips or tricks to get some people into a clan? most people are either 'not interested' or just ignore you haha

Also if anyone can please also help me out with what bonuses having a clan does? i know we have an avatar and what not but cant really find good help to know what it all does in the aid to us. Please if anyone has spare for minutes to lend me some advise or some links id really appreciate it

Hey yeah i hear it more and there that starting a new clan isn't that easy, and i just started my own today. Well, it depends on all you have to offer i think and how much you are truly looking for members to join, maybe try to chat before you actually offer them a place in your clan? Might seems a bit pressure-less. I hope it works out for you, and if you have questions or are willing maybe to team up on some end you can Always pm me ingame. I'm Always on online unless i am not

For recruiting, you may want to set up a recruitment thread in the recruitment forum that is the best fit for you clan, if your clan doesn't already have one.

You can also keep an eye on the threads posted in the Recruitment – Looking for a clan Forum , and post to or contact those players who you think would be a good fit for you clan. Don't go overboard on this though. A slow but steady growth makes it easier for your current members to welcome and adjust to the newcomers.

It is also be helpful to make sure that you have good, up-to-date information about your clan on your official RS Clan Page, as reached through Main Menu > Community > Clans.

Other good ways to recruit are to have 'invite a friend' events with your clan, encouraging your members to bring a friend along to a fun event.

If you do a skilling & social event, like fishing or agility, make sure you plant a clan vex nearby so that other players will realize that all those people having fun nearby are in a clan. Make sure you're all chatting in public chat and not hiding the fun in the cc

Hi Bobby, good luck with your clan.

You are correct, trying to run a clan is difficult. When it works its the best thing ever, but its often a thankless task. If you believe in yourself, and what you stand for, and are prepared to put in the effort then you will eventually reap the reward.

Tren pretty much said it all, I would just add that when you are recruiting, be realistic. Let people know that you are new and trying to expand. Some people do want to be in at the start of a clan, to help in its growth. Take a look at the looking for admins thread, and advertise for some staff. Having a good ranking team around you can be the make or break of a clan.

Decide what it is that your clan will do, and recruit people who are like minded.

My pm is always on if you need any assistance with anything clan related.

Hey everyone!

thank you all for what you have posted on here, given me some stuff to go over and think about, ill see what i can figure out! its not an easy task but hopfully one day im up there with some of the bigger clan that are out and about today
