Hey all.

Since very late in 2014 we started seeing a number of fake J-Mod/Jagex accounts being created along with them tweeting up harmful & phishing links by trying to hijack other player accounts.

Signs of a Twitter Impersonator:


• Look at the @ Name and the picture with it and the normal display name.
• Check out the tweets, like pretending to be a J-Mod/Helper in the way they tweet.
• Take a look at out for any links, and if they look suspicious or not.
• Go to the two official support pages to see if they are put down as a official Twitter account.


If it sounds too good to be true, then it normally is!
